Executive Summary- Project 10-SSA
A State of the Science assessment will be prepared for the AQRP program. The Assessment will consist of 3 parts:
(i) an overview of the current understanding of key scientific and technical issues, relevant to Texas, in emissions inventory development, atmospheric chemistry, meteorology and air quality modeling;
(ii) a summary of AQRP activities in the 2010-2011 biennium and how those activities improved understand of key scientific and technical issues; and
(iii) identification of a set of high priority scientific and technical issues that could be addressed in the 2012-2013 biennium.
A draft of the assessment will be prepared 5 weeks after project initiation. The draft will be reviewed by TCEQ, and after TCEQ comments are addressed, the assessment will be forwarded to the AQRP's Technical Advisory Committee (ITAC) for their comments. After ITAC comments are addressed, the document will be posted on the AQRP web site. Investigators planning to respond to AQRP requests for proposals during the 2012-2013 biennium will be directed to the assessment for guidance in identifying research areas in which proposals are sought.
